Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about GymLeb — pricing, access control, mobile app, multi-gym support, and more.

Product

What is GymLeb?

GymLeb is an all-in-one gym management platform with native Hikvision access control, biometric member sync, billing, class scheduling, and a member mobile app. It is built for gym owners in Lebanon and the wider MENA region who want to replace spreadsheets, manual check-ins, and disconnected tools with one operating system.

Who is GymLeb for?

GymLeb is built for gym owners, multi-location chains, fitness studios, and personal trainers. Members and staff also use the platform — staff via the admin dashboard and members via the iOS and Android apps and the web member portal.

How is GymLeb different from other gym management software?

GymLeb integrates directly with Hikvision access control devices through a real-time bridge — biometric enrollment, fingerprint sync, and access events flow through the platform without third-party middleware. Most gym management software treats hardware as a separate problem; GymLeb treats it as part of the same operating system.

Does GymLeb support multiple gyms or locations?

Yes. GymLeb supports multi-gym operations from a single dashboard. Members can carry memberships across locations, and owners get unified analytics on revenue, attendance, and retention across the chain.

Access control

How does GymLeb integrate with Hikvision access control devices?

GymLeb uses a dedicated gateway service that talks to Hikvision devices over their HTTP ISAPI protocol and pushes events back to the GymLeb cloud over a signed Socket.IO channel. The integration is event-driven, so failed commands automatically replay when a machine comes back online.

Does GymLeb support fingerprint and facial recognition?

Yes. GymLeb supports biometric enrollment for fingerprint and facial recognition via supported Hikvision devices. Members can also be granted access via card ID, PIN code, or QR code if a gym prefers non-biometric identifiers.

What happens if a Hikvision device goes offline?

GymLeb runs a 10-second health check against every connected device. When a device is offline, commands are queued and replayed automatically the moment it comes back online — no cron jobs, no manual retries.

Members

Is there a mobile app for gym members?

Yes. GymLeb has dedicated native mobile apps for iOS and Android. Members use them to book classes, view subscriptions and renewal warnings, track personal training, and check their attendance history.

Can members book classes from the GymLeb app?

Yes. Members can browse the class schedule, book sessions, and receive automated cancellation notifications. Personal training sessions can also be booked, tracked, and verified for attendance.

Can a member belong to more than one gym in GymLeb?

Yes. GymLeb is multi-gym at the platform level. A single member account can carry memberships across several gyms within a chain, with all attendance, payments, and subscriptions unified under one identity.

Pricing

How much does GymLeb cost?

GymLeb starts at $25/month for the Starter plan (up to 150 members). Growth is $45/month (up to 400 members), Pro is $70/month (up to 650 members), and Enterprise is custom-priced for chains. Optional add-ons stack on top of the base plan: Hikvision access control from $40/month (Lite), $60/month (Standard), or $80/month (Pro) — with a one-time $199 setup fee; the white-label member app at $50/month standard ($44/month on the Pro plan, $39/month on Enterprise) plus a $349 setup fee; the generic member app at $10/month (included free on Growth, Pro, and Enterprise); WhatsApp messaging at $20/month plus per-bundle message pricing; and online payments at 0.75% per transaction with a $10/month minimum.

Are there any contracts or cancellation fees?

No. GymLeb has no lock-in contracts and no cancellation fees. Plans are month-to-month, and gym owners can export their data and leave at any time.

Is there a free trial of GymLeb?

Yes. New gyms can start a free trial directly from the GymLeb sign-up page without a credit card. The trial includes the full feature set so owners can validate fit before paying.

What add-ons does GymLeb offer?

GymLeb offers five paid add-ons that layer on top of any base plan. Hikvision access control comes in three tiers: Lite at $40/month (one device), Standard at $60/month (up to two devices with real-time alerts), and Pro at $80/month (unlimited devices, priority support) — all with a one-time $199 setup fee. The white-label member app is $349 setup plus $50/month (or $44/month on the Pro plan, $39/month on Enterprise). The generic GymLeb-branded member app is $10/month and is included free on Growth, Pro, and Enterprise. WhatsApp messaging is a $20/month platform fee plus per-bundle message pricing ($5 for 250 messages, scaling up to $70 for 5,000). Online payments are 0.75% per transaction with a $10/month minimum.

Does GymLeb charge setup fees?

Standard onboarding is $99 (or $99–$299 if data migration from another system is required). Hikvision access control hardware integration carries a one-time $199 setup fee.

Billing

Does GymLeb support online payments?

Yes. Online payments are processed through integrated providers at 0.75% per transaction (minimum $10/month). Gyms that handle cash or bank transfers can also record offline payments — GymLeb stores the transaction record without storing bank credentials.

Does GymLeb include a point-of-sale (POS) for product sales?

Yes. GymLeb has a built-in POS for selling supplements, drinks, gym merchandise, and add-ons. POS transactions tie back to member accounts and feed into revenue reporting.

What currencies does GymLeb support?

GymLeb supports US Dollar (USD) and Lebanese Pound (LBP) for product and membership pricing.

Languages

Is GymLeb available in Arabic?

Yes. GymLeb supports English and Arabic, including full right-to-left (RTL) layout for the Arabic interface. The platform was built MENA-first, with Lebanon as its primary market.

Where is GymLeb available?

GymLeb is built for gym owners in Lebanon and the broader Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It can be deployed anywhere — there are no region locks — but pricing, currencies, and language support are tuned for MENA.

Data

Who owns the data in GymLeb?

The gym owns its operational data — members, memberships, check-ins, payments. GymLeb acts as a processor on the gym's behalf for member data and provides a clear export and deletion path described in the privacy policy.

Can I export my data from GymLeb?

Yes. Gym owners can export member, payment, and attendance data at any time. There are no contractual lock-ins that prevent leaving with your data.

How does GymLeb handle biometric data?

Biometric templates (fingerprint, face) are stored on the Hikvision device. GymLeb syncs the enrollment metadata and access events but does not store raw biometric images. Gyms that disable biometrics can rely on card IDs, PINs, or QR codes instead.

Support

How long does it take to set up GymLeb?

Most gyms are live in under 30 minutes using the onboarding wizard. Multi-gym owners and gyms migrating from other systems get free migration support from the GymLeb team.

Does GymLeb offer customer support?

Yes. All plans include priority email and chat support. Pro and Enterprise plans receive priority routing, and Enterprise plans include a dedicated account manager.

Mobile

Where can I download the GymLeb app?

The GymLeb member app is available on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android. The download page on gym-leb.com links directly to both stores.
